Some people affected by an anaphylactic reaction may also feel tired suddenly or confused.

What is the first aid for anaphylaxis?

The first step to do after you have an anaphylactic reaction is to visit the doctor. Here are some steps that you can take in case it needs immediate attention, as per the medical authorities:

      • Anaphylaxis is a medical emergency, so seek immediate medical help
      • You could use an epinephrine auto-injector to help counter the effects of the allergic reaction
      • If you are the caregiver to someone going through anaphylaxis, lay the person down with their legs elevated if they are conscious. This will help improve blood flow.
      • Keep monitoring vital signs like the pulse and breathing if the other symptoms are more prominent.
      • Don’t panic and handle the situation as calmly as you can.
